Email-Marketing – How to Make Your Subscribers Happy and Still Make Killer Profits
When you first start building a list of subscribers in any niche as an internet marketer, it is very easy to fall into the freebie seeker trap and give away too much free information which in turn creates a list of people who expect you to provide for free, so when it comes to selling to them it is almost impossible and you will be wasting your time.
But on the flip side to this there is also the trap of over promoting to your list and annoying the hell out of them, you do not want to upset your subscribers by pitching them every single day with a new product and not being any help to them at all.
The key to email marketing is finding a balance between the two and whilst you are providing plenty for your subscribers you also leave the door open for products sales and profits, check out these tips to help you make a happy list which stays profitable for you:
1. Research your market and learn about them, if you are not familiar with what they want then not only will you not be able to connect with them and help but you will not know exactly what they are looking for and how you can make a profit.
2. Survey your list regularly, trends change and you could soon find that your ships are sailing in completely different directions if you are not in direct communication with your list, so create mail that elicits a reaction from your subscribers, not in terms of sales specifically but surveys that help you to learn about them
3. Think about your ethics, choose your promotional products wisely. Your list will be buying on your recommendation so you do not want to be promoting products that do not deliver.
4. Give plenty but make sure you do not get hung up on sending out mail that doesn’t help you in some way, this is a business first and foremost and you are looking to make a profit, so be helpful but do not allow yourself to become a slave to your list.
Internet marketing is a constant balancing act of helping and profits, without balance you could soon find yourself being chained to helping your list without a profit or you could be viewed as too desperate for sales if you promote too often to your list.
