Building Your Email Marketing List
Don’t you hate it when you get spam in your inbox? It probably just grinds your gears, doesn’t it? If it does, that’s okay. You don’t want to sift through all of those irrelevant emails in order to find the relevant ones. If you are interested in email marketing, you don’t want to be the person sending the irrelevant emails. You want to be the person sending them the relevant ones. Here is how you’re going to do that:
- You’re going to market your website through such things as Google Adsense and you’re going to write a blog. On both your website and your blog, you’re going to put an opt-in form on them so that you can receive email addresses. These individuals become subscribers to your email list.
- Create a social networking account and offer an incentive to those who will provide their email address.
- You can always buy a list, but how do you know the email addresses are legitimate? You don’t and a good list is very expensive.
- Network with others so that they can maybe mention your company in their own newsletters. Tell them you will do the same for you.
There are so many ways in which you can build your email marketing list. Use your imagination. Just make sure you’re not sending spam or you’re going to be reported and that can hurt your business. You want to email those who want you to email them. They know what they’re doing when they fill out your form, so don’t hold back. Just don’t bombard them everyday or they will remove themselves from the mailing list.
