Ask For Green Web Hosting

Web hosting plans and features vary dramatically. Even for the most complex sites and green hosting, there are web hosting providers that will be able to match their needs. However, there are also budget green web hosts that provide affordable hosting with the possibility of slower and less efficient service. Such happens when a company tries to offer the lowest priced products by letting multiple customers share in one server, dividing the maintenance costs between them. However, the competition between the websites will cause delays because of the heavier load than what is recommended.

Green web hosting reflects a company’s effort toward quality. For instance, in a non-green hosting company like Web.com or Interland, they rarely update the software on their control panel. It is always the same software. And it has been like that for years. The interface and even PHP has been the same. Emails that gets sent to support always get responding with “We will take care that eventually”. But with a private web host, they constantly experiment with new software and versions even before you ask.

Pricing for green web hosting is in line, often better than rival companies. If you can stretch to that extra few dollars per year then I would move up one package as the cheapo option is usually limited with things like only one mysql database. You maybe thinking that’s 1 more than I need but if in a few months you decided to add a blog or an image gallery that’s it gone and the upgrade to the extra database will probably end up costing you more than the few dollars for the better green hosting option so if your budget allows it always leave yourself room to grow.
