Banners For Web Ads - Do They Work

Every day, more and more people get into the world of internet marketing. For some people, it’s their only way of selling their products or services, while for many others, they’re taking a concept they’ve had a lot of success with in the brick and mortar world and deciding to make their goods and services available to the entire world via the internet. If you’re one of these folks, you’re no doubt considering different methods of getting traffic to your website, and you’re considering buying advertising on other sites to promote your business. One of the most popular options, of course, are banners for web advertising. But are they a good idea?

Banners for web advertising have been around for a long time now, and came about not long after the internet itself debuted. For a long time, in fact, they were pretty much the only game in town when it came to internet ads. And they’re still quite popular; you see them everywhere these days. Now, a few years back, their popularity did decline for a while, as Google Adsense and other textual ads became the next big thing. But, as you can verify for yourself, banner ads are back in a big way, and they are definitely working, or people and companies wouldn’t keep using them.

Advertisers have found that there’s room for both text and banner ads on the web, and some use a combination of both. Many others, however, prefer to use only banners for web ads, because they think a lot of people don’t even notice text ads, and it’s hard not to notice a big banner ad. So they definitely work. The one drawback is that you usually have to pay to get banners designed. But if you can learn to create your own you can get some powerful, eye grabbing ads for very little money.
