Aren’t Pop-Ups Annoying?

Despite their bad reputation, pop-ups do not have to be annoying if you apply them sparingly. The reason most people hate pop-ups is because most pop-up marketers misuse a pop-up. As far as I am concerned, the only point of a pop-up is to gather e-mail leads. Not to send somebody to another link or display a greeting message, but to capture leads. You also need to use a pop-up program that will stop appearing after you get that e-mail opt-in.

With a pop-up, you can make sure your offer appears in front of 100% of the people you want to see it. If you had a blog or a sales letter and wanted to capture an e-mail address, you could not guarantee that everyone would see it. But when you show a pop-up box to someone visiting your side, you can guarantee they will see it because it is right in their face.

If you want everyone to see your offer, then everyone will see your offer. Then you can offer a bribe and get them to turn their e-mail address over in exchange for that bribe. That gets them on an autoresponder, which allows you to contact them any time you launch a new product or publish a new blog post. You need to capture these e-mail addresses, and then follow-up with them, in order to make your site sticky.

pop-ups don’t have to be annoying as long as you use them properly. Instead of using them to show flashy graphics or offers that don’t lead anywhere, use the pop-up to bribe your visitors to opt-in to a list. When you do that, you can make your site sticky and make it possible to follow-up with them any time you have a new offer to promote or simply update your site.
