How to Research Keywords – 1 Other Thing the Gurus Left Out

It’s actually funny when you’re learning “how to research keywords” in the beginning they tell you to just find some long tail keywords that has low competition and good search volume.

Then they tell you to write some articles around those keywords and submit them to the article directories. At this point you’re free to sit back, watch the traffic flow in, and rake in the Doe!

I mean is this what they tell you, am I right or right?

I know this is what they are telling you because this is what they all told me! I wrestled with it and wrestled more with and I just could not get it! “Their” ClickBank account balances were getting fatter by the day, mine ZERO!

Let me tell you, they are absolutely right! However “they” fail to leave out some very necessary info when it comes to those long tail keywords.

By now you know as well as I do that in marketing proper keywords are the core to any good or bad marketing campaigns. If the campaign was good chances are the keywords were good and vice versa.

What I want to share, with you here right now, is 1 other thing left out of most marketing guru trainings.

1. Latent Semantic Index (LSI) – is a term used to describe a theoretical process in which a search engine determines the subject of a webpage based on the commonality of keywords within the text. For our use, this simply means that your article or website should talk about your main topic in a variety of ways using different keywords throughout. For example, if your page is about pasta, then you should include keywords within the text that are relevant to pasta: cooking, dining, Italian food, pizza, spaghetti, wine, etc.

As you construct your articles, videos, and web pages be sure to use as many LSI keywords & phrases as possible. This will strengthen your LSI and give your webpage more favorable Google search results.

This is a personal shortcut I found and used when the bills were due and I needed to know how to research keywords now rather than later! If you want these 7 techniques for yourself, find them here: http://keywordresearch101.blogspot.com/2010/03/how-to-research-keywords-7-secret.html.
