Top Search Engine Ranking With Anchor Text
Top search engine ranking will drive traffic to your site. Traffic means more sales, recruiting, and success. Anchor text is a huge part of getting high rankings. If you write articles that show up on the first page of search results for highly searched key words, people will find you and your site. So learning to use anchor text in your posts and articles is a very productive use of your time.
Anchor text is a hyperlink to another place in the web. It looks like text to the reader but when viewed looking at the source code, the HTML, the link is plainly visible. Search engines read the hyperlink and use that information to more accurately categorize the post or site.
The success of a search engine comes from the positive experience of the searcher. If you were to use a search engine and repeatedly get results that were not relevant, you’d find another search engine. So the easier you make it for search engines to properly categorize what you put up on the web, the more the search engines will reward you with higher ranking.
In order to take advantage of anchor text to get top search engine ranking you must have the ability to access and alter the code. It may sound a bit intimidating for the less experienced, but really is a very simple and logical process. Look for a tab that is titled, HTML, and that is your way in.
If you have a blog post and you have written your post in plain text you then can click on the HTML tab and view the code. If you have included nothing beyond text, the HTML will look exactly like your text. To transform one of your text words or phrases into anchor text all you need to do is remember a simple formula. It starts with the symbol < continuing next, without a space, type the letter a which together is the command to start, and then a space followed by href= and after that you type quotation marks and without a space you type in the entire URL and end with quotation marks followed by > without a space and then, again with no space, type The Words You Want To Display as you want them seen and end this phrase with the end command:< followed without a space with a forward slash and then the letter a and this symbol >
Put in the entire web address including the http:// and the www and use the spacing you want your readers to see when you type the words you want to display. When you are finished, go back to the plain text view. Whatever you typed in for “The Words You Want To Display” should look normal and be in proper form, but when you hold your cursor over that word or phrase you will realize that it is a hyperlink. You have just created anchor text that will help you get top search engine ranking.
