Video Marketing: Basic Fundamentals
One of the most important fundamentals of basic internet marketing is that of planning and reaching goals. To reach those goals you should always stay on top of the newest technologies and advancements in marketing and techniques. Other internet marketers will be using them and if you are not then you have given them an edge and losing potential sales. You should be taking advantage of every tool available if you want to succeeded. One great tool that you should plan on using is that of video marketing. Once you realize the power of the medium you will see why.
Video marketing is basically the same as creating articles for distribution to content websites and ezine publishers. However, instead of using written words you use video to say the same thing. This video is then distributed to other websites for use by others. Using video marketing requires some attention to specific fundamentals to make this technique work but its basic principal is the same as article creation but in a different format.
Plan Your Video Before Shooting
The first thing to remember when video marketing is to plan it out first. Write a short script that you can follow in order to keep the video moving without any stalling, stuttering, or faltering. You should also rehearse the script a few times until you can repeat it without having to look at it too much. Failure to do so will result in an amateur looking result and not benefit you at all. It would be like having misspellings in your articles.
Use The Best Tools That You Can
There are plenty of video editing software on the market today. However, if you can not afford all the glitz, then the pre-packaged editor with your computer can work well enough for awhile. Another software package used for capturing your screen is called Camtasia. This is a fantastic way to record voice and video in order to teach a web tutorial. When you can upgrade your tools you should do so.
Focus on A Good Camera
There are different types of videos for different types of situations. The type of camera you will depend on several things. One is the type of filming you will be doing but also the budget you are working with. Decent results can still be produced with a less expensive camera if the rest of the production is well planned and executed. That being said, there are the studio videos which require a quality camera. Then there are those that can be recorded on the go with the use of a simple Flip camera, digital camera, or cell phone. The important thing to remember is when you can upgrade your camera you should. Using the best camera you can afford will help you produce better results and those better results translate into more sales.
