How to Improve Your Video Marketing

Here are some good tips for you if you are just starting out making videos for the computer, or if you having been making videos that are not attracting viewers. These tips will help you to get boatloads of people to see you on the various channels available.

The most important thing that you can do when shooting a video is to have good content. Make sure it is relevant to what you really want to say and get across to the people you are targeting. You must use good keywords so your viewers can find your video. There are also keyword tools that you can “Google” to help find the right keywords.

The content should be relevant to the topic of your video and give value to the viewers.

Be yourself. Do not come across as an actor. People will pick up very quickly if you are not being real. Talk to the camera as if you are having a conversation with a friend. Be as natural as possible. Remember, the more you make videos, the more comfortable you will become in front of the camera. Do not overview the length of your video…between 1 and 5 minutes is good. You have to grab the viewer in the first 8 seconds. Make sure you get to the point of the video in the first sentence or two or you will lose them.

One of the best things about doing videos is that if you do not like the way it comes out, you can delete it and do it over and over again until you are happy with the result.

You may have to redo the video before you like what you see and hear, but that is all good. We are not born professional videographers. It may come easier to some people than to others. It does not have to be perfect, but do make it something that if you were watching it, you would like what you see. Make sure you look presentable when shooting your videos. You do not have to wear a suit or dress, but you certainly want to look professional. Make sure that the scenery behind you is not distracting to the viewer or they will be more interested in what is going on around you than what you are saying.

There are sites that you can use to edit your video. Just “Google” video editing and you will find what you are looking for. Some computers even have editing tools built right into them. After you make and download the video, you should also write an article about the video and use the various traffic sources to get it out on the internet.

Once you publish an article and a video, it will be on the internet as permanent real estate.

The camera does not have to be very expensive. You can buy a good quality camera for less than $150.00. I would also suggest that you buy a tri-pod and a remote control. That way, if you want to do a video by yourself, there will be smoother transition when you start and stop recording.

The most important thing to remember is have fun when making your videos! Once you start making videos, you should make at least 3 to 5 videos a week. I hope these tips will help you get started in making quality videos.
