How to Find a Great Website Builder

Now – let me put it straight: I like computers and I think they are one of the best inventions of all the centuries. I love internet even more. I can’t imagine how only 50 years ago (well – 10 years ago in the country I come from) people lived without a PC (personal comrade as I call it). My husband and I have gone a bit too far probably and have given pet names to our laptop and iPad!

One of the reasons I went into online marketing is because I really like working on a computer/internet. From home! I hate direct hard sales and cold calling. Online marketing seemed like a perfect match. I can work from home, on a computer, via internet, without having to cold call and chase sales and invoices.

One issue I have is that I am nowhere near being a web developer, or a programmer, or a web designer. I knew subconsciously though that there should be a provider out there that will do all the heavy programming work for me and I will only have to fill in the gaps with my text. Being an online marketer it is very important to be able to build websites easily and effectively and put them online in no time to start driving traffic.

Here are a few things one needs to consider when choosing a website builder:

o It should be user-friendly. What I was looking for is an Outlook like layout where you navigate the menu on the left and post on the right. You should also be able to insert images, videos, write in different fonts like you would do in word file, etc.

o You should be able to choose how your website will look like by selecting the header and background colors from a variety of templates. It would also be helpful to have a Support team who would create and place a logo for you on your site that would answer your needs

o It should be highly customizable and you shouldn’t have to do it on your own. You should only be able to put your requirements into an email and support team would get in touch with you to discuss and then to implement the changes.

A great website builder should allow you to bring your business to the next level with the help of all its great tools. Here are only 3 of very many but that are most important to me:

o WordPress plugin is a must. This is how WordPress is defined by its developers – “It is a web software you can use to create a beautiful website or blog. We like to say that WordPress is both free and priceless at the same time.” I think it pretty much says it all, but I would like to include the following:

– WordPress has a great visual content editor.

– Is also has many skins and plugins to help you customize the look and feel of your website to your liking.

– Easy content creation – no HTML needed. Just type and run through spell check, which is a part of WordPress, and publish!

– Search engine optimization – the top feature. There is a certain “affair” going on between Google and WordPress and the former picks up the keywords from WordPress as a priority over other similar tools. This feature on its own is a gold mine. Your blog will always appear on the first page of Google search if you use the keywords wisely.

o A good website builder should allow you create lead capture pages in no time

o You should be able to very easily integrate your capture forms with your auto-responder.

To build your business online you need to have easy-to-use and reliable tools at hand. A proper website builder is definitely on the top of the list. This is where you start. Making the right choice has helped lots of people already and surely will help you.
