The Importance Of Building Your Own Opt-In Email List

February 22, 2012 by  Filed under: Email

Starting an opt-in email list is a very good thing to do. With an email list, you can very literally write your own ticket. You will want to build a list because it’s proven and tested to improve website conversion rates, and to make you more money. This isn’t anything that is based on theory. Not at all.

Imagine if you had an email list that was 50,000 subscribers strong. Can you imagine the kind of money that you’d be making? In fact, I’m talking about 50,000 subscribers strong via the front end product that you have. Imagine having another 10,000 customers who are in the backend sales funnel. Now imagine if you had 5 different products that you wanted to offer to your subscribers, and in each of the 5 lists, you had 10,000 subscribers.

Your sales would take off!

You would probably never have a “financial worry day” in your life. You could be earning incomes around $30,000 a month or more – all on autopilot! Can you see the tremendous power of using opt-in email marketing for your business? Hopefully you can, because it’s something that you will want to consider doing if you want to make the maximum amount of money in the shortest period of time.

Utilizing opt-in email marketing is something that you will want to put forth in your business today. You will want to make it a point to collect as many subscribers as possible, and nourishing your niche with excellent information and advice. People want to buy from business owners who have something worthy to offer. And it all starts at the lead generation stage.

Now not everyone who subscribes to your list will buy from you. There are tons of people who won’t ever buy from you. That’s just the nature of the beast. But there are many ways and techniques to improve your email list conversion rates, so that you can earn more sales.

If you want to boost conversion rates, the first thing that you should do is lower the frequency at which you’re emailing your list. I know you probably want sales now, but you have to be patient. Because while you’re eager to sell and make sales now, your prospects are nowhere near the point of purchasing from you.

Sure some people will buy from you immediately, but the majority of your subscribers won’t buy until weeks or even months later. That’s one more reason why you will want to build up a massive list – to accelerate the pace at which you get orders. If you have a small list of around 100 subscribers… you’re going to have to wait and build up your list slowly if you want to get sales.

You should always plan to make sales from your subscribers, even months down the line. Don’t give up on a prospect if they don’t buy from you within the first month. Even if you sent 14 emails to them in the first month and they haven’t bought yet, don’t give up. There could be a long list of reasons why they aren’t buying from you, so you have to keep this in mind.

Use these tips to have the kind of email marketing success that you dream of.

Good luck with using this information to boost your online business today.
