Parents, teachers, preachers andpoliticians, have criticized and in some cases even banned digital games.Electronic games have been blamed for inadequate grades, inadequate conduct andeven illness. If you listen long enough, digital games are responsible for allof the problems our adolescents experience today.

 

One thing is certain. Kids lovethem. They buy and perform them in ever increasing numbers. Electronic gamesare here to stay.

 

Popular Electronic Games-Peoplehave been trying to perform games on computer systems almost since the days ofthe very first computer. As beginning as 1950, Claude Shannon, a mathematicianand engineer, believed that computer systems could be programmed to performchess in competition with humans. He became intrigued with the concept ofartificial intelligence. In pursuit of this idea researchers and scientistsdesigned crude games that could be played on the huge and clumsy computersystems of the 1950s and 1960s.

 

The first actual digital games asa consumer product were built as coin operated video arcade games in thebeginning 1970s. In 1971 Nolan Bushnell, Ted Dabney and Al Alcorn establishedthe first activity organization, Atari. Soon after they created the firstgaming gaming system and their first digital activity, Pong, as an video arcadeactivity. Pong was immediately successful.

 

Popular Electronic Games -Thissuccess led Atari and other firms to begin work on house video games that couldbe hooked to TV sets. Atari released its first house gaming system in 1977.Soon games were put on cartridges that could be changed at the whim of thegamer.

 

By 1979, the organization,Activision, was established by former Atari activity designers. The objectiveof this new organization was to focus strictly on activity. They decided toleave the development of equipment to perform digital games to otherindividuals. This was the first organization to build a business of developingand selling digital games application.

 

In a few months a spate ofactivity organizations sprang up trying to develop application for the infantdigital activity market. The result was a glut of poorly conceived gameshitting the market. Consumers turned away in droves and the property digitalactivity market faded hit the skids.

 

By the beginning Early, digitalgames were being developed for pcs. Color design, flexible storage capacity andgeneral objective processors made games much easier to perform on pcs. Thegaming gaming system business was all but dead.

 

In the late Early, two Japaneseorganizations presented a new technology of video games that were technologicallyable to handle the new digital games being created. These organizations wereManufacturers and Sega. These video games had design capabilities that exceededthose of most pcs. Manufacturers also offered a feature that let the gamingsystem record the experience measures so a gamer could pause the measures of aactivity title.

 

Right behind Manufacturers cameGame Boy, a hand-held gaming gaming system. Game controllers enjoyed aresurgence of popularity during the 1990s. A new, even more sophisticated technologyof digital games was presented by 2001. These controllers included Playstation2and Xbox.
