Eight Quick Tips to Make a Fantastic Opt-In Video So You Make Money Online

July 29, 2010 by Butterfly | Leave a Comment Filed under: Video

So what’s your conversion rate then? You know, click through. In other words, the percentage of visitors who clock on your link or complete an opt-in form. Two percent? Four percent? Suppose I told you that I have an average visitor click through rate of 4.5% that rocketed to over 23% within fourteen days. Would you be interested?

This informative article explains how a strong video opt-in video can rocket your conversion rate. (I won’t concentrate on the mechanics i.e. type of camera, or editing software, just practical tips on the “how to” of a successful opt-in video.

First off, then, what is an opt-in video exactly. Well, it’s a video that is embedded on your squeeze page. You don’t need to have any text – it’s the video, or nothing. It isn’t long either, maybe two minutes max. And it focuses solely on getting the visitor to opt-in and give you their name and email address in return for your product.

But a poor video can ruin your chances. So let’s get it right.

Make certain that your background is attractive. So many people I work with to record a video worry about how they will look. They spend ages agonizing over their hair, bags under the eyes, or their smile, without thinking about the backdrop to the video. I’ve seen good scripts murdered by manky office walls, distracting homeware, or upright lights that seem to grow out of the speaker’s head! Make sure the focus is only on you.

Third, think about the angle that you’re filming from. Don’t allow yourself to be filmed from below, or from above (have you noticed how often that happens on news programs? It alters your perception of the speaker, doesn’t it?) Make sure that you’re talking person to person, eye to eye. Place your web camera at eye level and really connect. It may take a bit or practice but I assure you that it’s worth it. The viewer needs to know that they are the only person that counts.

Fourth, don’t go off message. In other words, only talk about your product or service. Don’t refer to another subject or topic. Don’t be irrelevant – nothing will have your viewer reach for the “Back” button quicker. And be very, very careful about humor. Your viewer will almost certainly be in a different country (this is the world wide web, after all) and this will almost certainly mean a different culture, where your humor could, at best, mean nothing, or at worst cause offence. Keep going right to end and focus on your product. And nothing else.

Fifth, tell your audience exactly what they have to do. Give them instructions. And – believe me, this is harder than it sounds – point to the opt-in box that the audience will see on their screen. I say this is hard because you’ll be saying, “Fill in the opt in box on the right” – but in practice you’ll have to point to the left when you’re recording! Ask for their name and email, and briefly explain what will happen when they submit that information.

Sixth, always sell the sizzle, not the steak. Or, as marketeers say, stress the benefits, not the features of your product. So, a feature led spiel might be “This is a 20 part video course shot in hi-def mode with six hours of content blah blah blah.” If you are stressing benefits, your script will be something like this: “Have you ever wanted to look irresistible, feel incredibly energetic and be amazingly financially successful? Well, I’m going to teach you all of this and more – etc etc.” Get my point?

Seventh, don’t waffle. Keep things pretty brief. Given the variable bandwidth and download speeds that are around, two to three minutes is the max. And – I’ve got a short attention span. Am I the only one?

Eighth, smile. Be enthusiastic. I don’t think of myself as curmudgeonly, but I always stick a smiley face above my webcam when I’m recording. Sad, isn’t it? But it does make a difference, and it will to your recording as well.

And remember – you aren’t speaking to the camera. You’re talking to your best friend, or lover. Don’t fake it – talk naturally, and warmly.

I hope these tips help you make a fantastic video to use in your squeeze page. If you do, you’ll make money online!

My best to you.

Facebook Takes Bottom Place in Customer Satisfaction!

July 29, 2010 by Butterfly | Leave a Comment Filed under: SEO

Customer satisfaction is a reflection of what we feel about a good or service, so when this report ranked the most popular social networking site at the bottom it seemed a bit of a surprise. Lets find out more, why is this the case?

According to the Foresee Annual E business Report the respondents gave answers including privacy and security concerns, the technology that controls the news feeds, advertising, the constant and unpredictable interface changes, spam, navigation troubles, annoying applications with constant notifications, and functionality, to name a few. There is no shortage of complaints about Facebook.

However, according to July 2010 Hitwise data, Facebook is the number one website in the country, with 9% of all website visits (Google has 7.4% and Yahoo! 3.8%) and 55% of all social media visits. Facebook’s market dominance in the U.S. and around the world is indisputable. How can it be so popular if people dislike it so much?

There are a few reasons Facebook can continue to have market success despite abysmally low customer satisfaction:

• Facebook has its own version of a monopoly. Although there are literally hundreds of social networking sites available around the world, Facebook has surged from 200 million global users 15 months ago to more than 500 million today, according to the New York Times. There really is no other choice for people wanting to connect with friends, family, and colleagues regardless of interest, age, geographic location, gender, etc.

• Research shows that customer satisfaction with social media sites is somewhat age-related. Older people are less satisfied with Facebook than are younger people, who are less impacted by the privacy concerns and changes to the interface. Young people helped to make Facebook successful, and they like it a little better. However, the fastest-growing Facebook segments are all older adults, so higher satisfaction among young people will not carry the company far.

• Customers are willing to suffer through a poor experience in return for the benefits Facebook provides. This is a rare scenario in the American economy: usually customer satisfaction is intertwined with market success. The few exceptions to this rule (airlines, cable companies, and fast food) are operating in a sphere where there are no true standouts, so the bar is low. Should MySpace stage a comeback, or should any other competitor to Facebook deliver a truly superior customer experience, Facebook should have cause for concern. Right now, only Wikipedia and YouTube surpass Facebook in terms of customer satisfaction, and they are not in direct competition.

• One aspect of Facebook loyalty not often discussed is that it acts as a storehouse for many people’s pictures and videos.

As for businesses it acts as a platform to connect with a wide audience which is why social media is an important marketing tool. Do check out our ‘Amazing Stats On Social Media’ blog. For example There are more than 3.5 bn pieces of content (web links, news stories, blog posts) shared each week on Facebook.

SEO – Outsourcing

July 29, 2010 by Butterfly | 1 Comment Filed under: SEO

The procedures being used to develop and improve performance in attracting and driving quality, targeted customers to a particular web site, blog, product or whatever you need to bring an audience attention too, is known as Search Engine Optimization (SEO). These procedures are the driving force that dictates whether you receive massive volumes of traffic to your site or just a few visitors per day from the popular search engines.

SEO procedures for optimizing a search engine are constantly evolving; they come in all different categories from orthodox to unorthodox, ethical to unethical, mainstream to underground or whatever category they fall into. The common factor in all these procedures is getting higher page rankings from the Search Engines for the site. Many skilled Internet marketers can optimizes a page to rank on the front page of most Search Engines, resulting in potential clients that can be converted to customers.

The benefits of SEO are justified by the professional skills required for good optimization. When a site is properly and expertly optimized, it can literally run on autopilot traffic. There are many other optimizing procedures that can be added to increase traffic exponentially but SEO remains the core foundation for establishing your sites visibility on the web.

Most project leaders outsource SEO in order to maximize productivity and meet online system project deadlines. SEO Outsourcing can be used on any site, for upgrading communication networks, increasing social mediums and online businesses, etc. Thus, the main goal of SEO optimization is to encourage visitors and establish back links to your site, to welcome feedback and comments for your online business, increase publicity and search engine ranking – which in turn improves efficiency of time and work production.

There are several advantages in outsourcing search engine optimization for your website especially if you lack the skills of SEO and if you are in need of an immediate increase in publicity/traffic to your site. Yet the main reason for outsourcing SEO will always be to achieve success, whether your aim is to generate or increase sales or get your information distributed to a larger audience. The goal remains the same, getting a higher page ranking for the site equates to more traffic.

The promotion of a product requires the optimization of: web content, online advertising, email blasting from auto-responders and other commonly used advertising tools, print ads and the list goes on. One thing is certain; the optimization process to gain more traffic could get pricey. There are other alternatives such as do it yourself free traffic methods which includes posting ads in free classifies, articles marketing and forum memberships, viral traffic membership sites, etc. All of which is very time consuming and a slow process as you wait for your SEO campaigns to propagate on the web.

Paid advertising campaigns are reliable but a bit pricey. Of all the options available SEO Outsourcing provides greater value in benefits when compared to other commonly used advertising methods. Although SEO outsourcing is cheaper, current technologies and a competitive market place stands as an assurance for motivating higher standards among SEO providers competing to maintain and improve their customer base. These SEO Outsourcing providers comprise of content writers, expert optimizers, programmers, system analysts and designers uniting for the common goal of staying ahead of the competition.

The bottom line… outsourcing SEO will save you a lot of time and expense, generate a larger customer base, tremendously improve sales and increase publicity.

Internet Marketing & SEO – How to Find Keywords For a Website

July 29, 2010 by Butterfly | Leave a Comment Filed under: SEO

This article is about how to find keywords for a website but it is more than that. We need to answer a few questions first. What is the function of a website? How do people find a website? How do we satisfy the search engines and spiders that snoop around the Internet and decide which websites to boost and which websites to put the plaque on. Why are keywords important? Finally, how to find keywords for a website?

What is the function of a website?

The cold war brought on the expansion of defense spending and the need for a system to share information. That is what started the Internet. No, it was not Al Gore. From its original purpose in expanded to everybody. Everybody but Ingrid Helsinki in Kurdistan has access to the internet. The Internet is the largest source of information and misinformation in the world. It has a major purpose, even though constantly abused, which is to share information. The porn industry gave the hardware needed for everyone to look at their smut. We all use that hardware daily.

How do people find a website?

People are always looking for something. How do I grow very large pumpkins? (Move to Alaska?) When can I collect my Social Security and how much will I get? Who was the king of France in 1380? Was Attila the Hun really that mean? Who was Rasputin? What is the size of the Universe? Can we see all of it through Hubble? Place any of these question in the address box or the search bar of your browser and you will get your answers. Yes, the address bar works just about the same as the search box. Try it if you don’t believe me.

The point is that people find websites by looking for RELEVANT INFORMATION on their question. If a website comes up in your search and does not answer your question, how long will you stay there? Well, you won’t even go there!

How do we satisfy the search engines and spiders that snoop around the Internet and decide which websites to boost and which websites to put the plaque on.

The question is answered in the last question. ONLY those sites are favored that have RELEVANT INFORMATION. If you want to have a successful web site, have each page answer a question that Internet patrons are looking for.

Why are keywords important?

Keywords are important because people search using keywords. They don’t know they are keywords but the people who gather such data count how often a word is used and tabulate the information. You can learn how often a keyword or keyword phrase is used by doing a search on the keyword. If you put a keyword in quotation marks in the search bar, you will bring up all the sites that use that keyword and have content on it. When you bring up over 5000 sites with a keyword in quotes, it is very competitive. It could be hard to make a sell with that keyword if you are an Internet marketer. When you are trying to improve SEO or Search Engine Optimization, place your keyword or keyword phrase in the page title, the first paragraph, the last paragraph and a few places in between. Using heading makes a difference to the search engines (depending on which day of the week they are looking at your page. They have what is called a algorithm and they change it like we change our bath water.

Finally, how to find keywords for a website?

So keywords are very important and I know you are looking for how to find keywords for a website? Most all professionals go to the Google AdWords Keyword Tool External. I don’t know any that do not use this tool. To go there simply place those words in the address or search box on your browser and it will come up Number 1. Study the page and the information that goes with it. If you want to bring up the number of competitive sites just place the keyword an quotation marks and search again. The search tool at Wealthy Affiliate brings up this information with one click but you must be a member.

WordTracker is a great organization for analyzing and finding keywords. They have a free trial but there regular services are economical. Micronichefinder is software program which I use at times that helps find keywords. There are many other such tools on the Internet but all you really need is Google’s AdWords Keyword Tool External.

I hope this helps answer the question, How to find keywords for a website.
